Spring into Action: Tips for Making Way for a Fresh Start !
Springtime for me is so meaningful. I wonder if it is for you?
For me, I feel so much more motivated for change, spring cleaning, physical exercise and mental stimulation and emotional stability. So, I tend to make the most of this season by making any changes that I know will enhance my life in any small way. It’s all about work/life balance -right?
My first little project is usually business based – I work out what’s going well and what’s not going so good. Then I decide what tweaks will improve my working life for me and when I am going to implement those changes.
I love planning too, so I will plan at least two weekends away, to somewhere I’ve never been before.
I love colour. So, every spring I buy new cushions and accessories for my lounge to brighten it up. It doesn’t cost the earth but really brightens the mood of the room with its vibrancy.
I find that all the changes I make help me stay feeling positive, fulfilled and interested for the rest of the year so it is really worth spending time with a pad and pen on a sunny day plotting and designing!
Here are more 10 more of my favourite ideas...
- Reduce Clutter: Decluttering your living space can have a positive impact on your mental health. A cluttered home can lead to feelings of stress and anxiety, while a clean and organised space can create a sense of calm and relaxation.
- Evaluate Your Relationships: Take a close look at the people you spend time with and consider how they make you feel. Are they positive influences in your life, or do they bring you down?
- Set goals: Use this time to set new goals and aspirations for yourself. Write down your goals and create a plan on how to achieve them.
- Clean up your digital life: Clean up your inbox, unsubscribe from unwanted emails, organize your digital files and backup important data.
- Revisit your hobbies: Revisit old hobbies or discover new ones. Spend time doing things that you love and that bring you joy.
- Take a break from technology: Take a day off from technology and enjoy some unplugged time. This will help you to be more mindful, and will reduce stress and anxiety.
- Detox your body: Take time to evaluate your diet and eliminate unhealthy foods. Incorporate more healthy foods, and get active with regular exercise or outdoor activities.
- Reconnect with people: Reach out to family and friends who you may have lost touch with over time. Catch up on what's new in their lives, and spend some quality time together.
- Learn something new: Spring is a great time to learn a new skill or hobby. Attend a class or a workshop, or enrol in an online course.
- Simplify your schedule: Evaluate your schedule and prioritize your commitments. Consider saying no to things that don't bring you joy or don't align with your goals.
Have fun and
Happy Spring Cleaning!
